Taking that initial step toward personal growth and healing is often accompanied by considerable courage. It involves confronting fears, overcoming challenges, and allowing oneself to be vulnerable to self and others. Yet, by taking this first step, you’ve already demonstrated your inner strength and determination to enhance your life and overall well-being. It’s essential to acknowledge and celebrate this achievement, even as you navigate new challenges.
I have over 10 years of experience providing therapy for young children, teens, adults and families. My approach is holistic and it integrates a diverse array of modalities, carefully selected to effectively address the distinct challenges you face. I draw from psychodynamic, emotion-focused, attachment-based, relational, trauma-informed, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioural approaches to support you.
In the context of therapy, I believe that forming a strong connection is of utmost importance. When you experience a sense of connection, you’re more likely to feel safe and supported in sharing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Regardless of age, this connection is instrumental in helping me better understand and support you as you work through your challenges, enhance your self-awareness, and foster personal growth.

If you are interested in therapy, it is likely because you are ready for change. Reaching out to a therapist is a powerful first step in creating a space for yourself where you can face the questions and challenges you have about your life and relationships.
I work one-on-one with adults of all ages including young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, pain, grief, anger, trauma, and relationship struggles. During your initial sessions, we will develop a treatment plan that works for you and your needs. This treatment plan will integrate a variety of therapeutic models, including attachment theory, ego psychology, self-psychology, psychoanalysis. Child development, family dynamics and socio-cultural factors will also play an important role in shaping my understanding of your concerns and treatment needs.
I believe that therapy should be a place where you are free to explore and define your needs without worrying about saying the right and wrong things. My role as a therapist is to learn how best to listen to my clients rather than imposing one-size-fits-all solutions. With this support, my clients not only learn to speak more openly and freely, but also to listen to themselves in new ways, and with the kind of openness that leads to transformative change.

I work to create a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions and
behaviours. Through a client-oriented, insight-oriented approach, I aim to help clients
uncover the underlying roots of their problems and symptoms. I believe that a
symptom important enough to instigate a trip to the therapist has typically resulted
from many different interacting factors, including one’s constitution, emotional
makeup, developmental history, social context, identifications, personal values and
current anxieties.
In my practice, I assist clients in exploring these factors and the dynamic organization
to the way they unconsciously register experience. By doing so, we can work to bring
about desired changes.
I have over 6 years of experience and I use a variety of modalities tailored to address
your unique challenges effectively. I hold a master’s degree in child clinical
psychology and am a candidate at the Canadian Institute for Child and Adolescent
Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy program (CICAPP), where I have completed all the
didactics. This specialized training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy allows me to
provide comprehensive and effective treatment. I also have training in other
therapeutic modalities such as mentalization-based therapy (MBT), attachment-
based therapy, play therapy, and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy
(ISTDP).
